5dimes is great. i'm a new cust, but no problems so far. site is a lacking in readability, but they keep it simple enough so its good.

reduced lines have low limits. i'm not sure if they vary, but i do know one line wouldnt let me bet >100

New to 5Dimes and I'm happy. Took advantage of the reduced juice and am very pleased.

The only problem is I need to log in each time, just to peek at the lines.

At the very top of the main page there is a link "Live Lines" (next to "Help Center" and "Register Here" which lets you look at the lines without logging in.

I believe that 5dimes doesn't specify their baseball lines as "reduced" if it's the day before the game because they always use 10cent lines (the day of the game). In other words the lines are reduced just not labeled as "reduced"... Thats what I see, although I'm not 100% sure.

The reduced lines for baseball are overnight lines. You have to check the night before. I think they take them down early in the morning.

It is a bit of a guessing game, only downside about them.
Plus obviously you cant see much line movement before you get your wager in. But that doesnt matter much.

Gotta guess on whos gonna be in the starting lineup, and hope nothing happened weather-wise or a last minute SP scratch or shit like that.

Still worth it though, most of us cap the games the night before anyways....

Haven't been at 5Dimes long, but I recently received a payout from them and the check bounced. Not too pleased. Anyone have this happen to them? I just got done speaking to customer support and they are telling me to tell my bank to run the check again because there are funds available now. I'm not even sure that my bank will do that.

This happened to my friend recently with a Bodog payout. I would expect that from Bodog, but I thought 5Dimes was supposed to be a solid book. I like the options they have to offer and the reduced lines, but this is disappointing.

JRose5, I've always heard 5Dimes is a solid book. Don't know what to think about your bounced check experience. Hopefully, someone else will chime in.

I have another question. Does 5dimes (or any related telemarketers) call you if you sign up with them? Even once? I really wouldn't like that. Thanks.

I have been with 5dimes for about a year or so now. I have only gotten one withdrawel from them in the amount of 1250$, it cleared perfectly fine and there have been no telemarketing calls from them ever. I gave them my cell number too so i would know if they would of called me. Well now that i think about it they might have but i would never know because any time on my phone a call comes up that is "unavailable" on the caller ID then i don't answer. Whoever it is never leaves a message.

wrote in another thread but will post my experience with a withdrawal here so if people are researching differnet opinions on books they can find it here as well.

All in all ..Payouts are fast.... I just requested like $1000 earlier in the month to get a sense of their speed of processing since I have never used them before and i had received payment in less than 6 days via mail. I requested payout via FedEX method and when I requested the tracking number to make sure i was home 5dimes told me that withdrawals that are $1000 or less go out via moneyorder sent by regular USPS mail. I was kinda pissed about this however i still got my money. I wish they were more up front about it on their site or surely I would have requested $1000.01 .. stupid in my opinion. You get one free withdrawal per month if your using FEDEX method so that was cool to me.. another issue that they were not up front with is in order to take advantage of the free FEDEX payment withdrawal - you had to request it on a Monday between 8:00am and 1:00pm EST time. Once again.. kind of upsetting that i did not have this info up front however still very pleased with the overall performance of this book..!!

5 Dimes is down this morning but you can go to www.propbet.com. That is the backup site and it is working fine.

Not true. Every couple months or so before I make a deposit I go to live chat and ask if they have any reload bonus for me and more often than not they give me something.

I've now bet in decent stints with what I consider the big 3... Greek, BM, and 5 Dimes.

Greek to me, is a combination of both. Easy to access website, really never any lag on it, and alot of lines available.

BM might get lines up the quickest by a small margin, but they have pricey prop bets and quarters are usually -115. They booted me from their loyalty program after recieving over 250,000 points in a couple months.

5 Dimes. Limits can be harsh but you can find ways to get as much as you want on a given side. So far I like this site the most. Can have a portion of your bet at "reduced" juice up to $500 if you roll big. Or, take the bonus option and use reduced lines up to $50.

BM takes my credit card, the others don't.

BM has the best live lines I've seen though... which is nice.

    I'd rank...

    1. 5 dimes
    2. TheGreek
    3. Bookmaker

The options 5 dimes gives you in unreal.

Plus, they pay out on push's in parlays from what I can tell. Impressive stuff.

What is the best option for doing large amounts of $$$, for example, cashing out $20,000?

Will the 20k come out all at once, and they just send you $3,000 checks every few days like some sites, or will it sit there... and they knock your balance down $3,000 each time you recieve a check.

    Please advise.

Inspeckdah--the info I am getting from Live Chat at both 5dimes and Matchbook is that the most you can withdraw daily is $3000. If what I was told was accurate, then the best you can do is request $3000 checks(5dimes has a wire option) on successive days until you reach your desired withdrawal amount.

You can transfer book to book in larger amounts, but withdrawing straight to the player I was told repeatedly that $3K daily was the limit.

I understand their reasoning, but if you wanted to withdraw $21K it seems ridiculous to ask for $3000 checks for 7 straight days and pay the 7 $40 processing/overnight fees when efficiently this should be able to be done in a single transaction (if not 2-3 if they would raise their limits to $10K).

As I started to complain, I thought about how it beats paying full juice, betting wack lines, and sweating a local for a large sum the large sum he may owe me.

If someone knows a trick of how to get a large deposit quicker than requesting a series of max limit checks, please let me know.

The $40 per transaction fee is TINY, compared to the reliability of the book and the checks you'll receive for such a large sum of money.

I mean $140 to get $20k 100% guaranteed, and each check arrives 3-4 days after requesting it, is truthfully nothing.

Yes, it sucks that thing shave come to this, but you could be with sportsbook, getting slow payed a month at a time, and receive a good check, if you're lucky.

I got a check from 5dimes last Friday, deposited it, and the money was available Monday afternoon. Can't beat that.

I am very surprised your limits aren't set at $50 yet, being up that much.

Perhaps once you withdraw the money, you'll find that they are.

    My reduced limits are $250.

As far as regular, I don't bet many WA numbers, so I don't really know. If I'm betting anything larger, its always at boomaker, and I have to double limit opening totals, as they're only $500 if I really want to take advantage of them.

    reasonably easy deposits and withdrawals?

Withdrawals are a breeze, first request was free. Had my check in less than a week.

Deposit are easy if you don't mind hitting up a moneygram. They do have a new option but I haven't tried using it. They call it SwipePay, they actually send you a contraption to swipe your own card and deposit that way. They let me know about it via their chat.

ah, but you can't just give them your CC number? On the withdrawals, is it really as simple as "send me a check for XXX?

I do not believe they have a good credit card deposit method. But I believe you can do an electronic check.

And yes, their withdraws really are send me a check for $3000. It arrives in 3 days via FedEx.

They also have just about the most events to wager on.

Great book for a recreational bettor.

5Dimes is the best period. Payouts fed ex arrives in 2 days. With baseball season coming up they give you the best total options. You're able to buy a run. There's no comparison if you compare them to Bookmaker.

agree bookmaker scammed me hard-- they made up policies and fucked me so hard because I was hitting them hard in november and january--

-They disabled qtr bets for college football for me-hitting unders in 14 of 15 straight
-they then disabled parlay options for 2nd halves for me
-They then disabled in progress qtrs for me also-

I requested a cash out, they told me there is no free cheque because I live in Canada. THey then told me a moneygram is a $75 fee. I was like are you serious?
They said yes, they didnt want my action anymore---

My cousin lives in canada and got a free cheque???? They are crooks carefull with this place, they dont like winners.

It was fine I find them a bunch of crooks--

I knew I was done when every halftime bet I put in would say Line has changed, and they would charge me another 10 cents on every pick i would take. My cousin was with me with his laptop and put the same play in and he was not taxed the extra 10 cents that i was being taxed.

I dont like them I would moon them if they were in front of me.
