Comments:This is a great book that welcomes professional players betting large stakes and that offers attractive bonuses for the small player. 5Dimes offers great variety of original betting lines for nearly every sporting event. This shop is known for having the most extensive selections of betting odds in the industry.

5 Dimes has become on of the top choices for players looking for original and well booked alternate run lines for MLB, Tennis, Golf, Soccer and various other sports, that other shops consider to be secondary. This sportsbook posts the largest amount and variety of odds on sporting events for the different leagues from all over the world.

For the American market, 5 Dimes offers the absolute lowest juice for MLB overnight lines, booking a 5 cent line overnight line.
    Example: Yankees -103
    Red Sox -102

This shop is run by one of the sharpest bookmakers the industry has ever known. 5Dimes is considered a very sharp bookmaking operation

They don't welcome all THAT much money on a given bet. They do offer lines on games no one else does.......I got NCSU vs App St there early in the CFB season.

    Not a bad book.

it's not an issue of rich. It's an issue of a unit being $1000 and the limit on a wager being $500, then the juice eats you up on the second half of your wager.

click on reduced juice when you log in; they have dime lines currently, not sure how long, but like most of the books, expect a lot of incentives/bonuses to pop up in the next few days...id still suggest sticking to only the most secure books (at least this is what ill be doing) - Greek, Cascade, WSEX, Grande, etc.

And for those of you who like cris (i do not), i would suggest going to DSI instead, same exact lines with the only difference being that they carry dime lines on bases whereas cris deals 20c lines. same loyalty program, same bonuses, essentially the same shop

I signed up with 5 Dime just before the Super Bowl and I cannot say I have been impressed with their customer service or their software. I do wager quite a bit on tennis and I find they take quite a long time to grade these wagers. When I asked their customer service when they would grade the wagers, I was responded to in a very rude manner and told I didn't know what I was talking about (in reference to the matches being finished) and then the CS rep proceeded to say that he would make the "extraordinary request" of the grading department to speed up the process. Tonight was really the last straw, there was a serious lag in grading NBA wagers and the grading prevented me from taking advantage of certain lines.

I'm sure a lot of people on here have had good experiences with this book, but I plan on taking out my cash and shopping for a new book tomorrow.

I am still waiting on a wager on the Lakers/Blazers 4th quarter to be graded, that game was over, like what, an hour ago? Unbelievable

Sometimes the computers at any site get screwed up. I had to wait for the next day for one at matchbook yesterday...I wouldn't worry about it.

I agree redbearde. It would not be a big deal if it happened only once and awhile, but it was happening a bit too frequently for my taste and for the agents to act in the manner they did did not impress me either. I signed up with the greek this afternoon and I am happy with my decision.

On the matchbook note, they would do that every so often in the summer. I remember that they would be doing software upgrades etc that would prevent them from grading wagers. Still a great book, and I cannot wait to return to them for the baseball season.

Whats up fellas. Just wondering for those of you who have 5dimes, what would be the easiest most efficient way to fund them and do they still have valid online funding options available. On their site they have ewallet, egold, and click2pay listed, but I honestly have no idea if any of those are valid for US customers or not these days since I have no experience with any of the 3. I signed up for 5dimes as a potential cfb book for my under the radar and I-AA plays as I wasn't sure if places like MB would even get me any matches on those types of games, so any info you guys could provide would be great.

    Thanks!

Here is what I found out from their customer service. If anyone has experience with ewallet, let me know, thanks!

"Thank you for contacting 5 Dimes Customer Service. Regarding online
funding methods, there's just one available at the moment for US
customers. Ewallet is a payment solution which requires previous sign
up. Once you have your ewallet account set up and funded you can
transfer funds to your 5dimes account. Keep in mind that this is a
funding only option. When requesting withdrawals we can send you a
western Union transfer up to $500 maximum or a bank check (up to
    $9900) or gift card($100 - $950) via Fedex.

In reference to your second question, the lines for the first week of
the college football season will be released by August 22nd."

Outstanding, that happens to em as well. I use Firefox as my main browser. I fired up IE, and the "bet the board" feature worked fine then.

CB, I know nothing of that funding method. But thanks for the part about when the lines will be released. I have been sifting thr my copy of Phil Steele, and reading what the guys are writing on here. I can't wait.

I have used 5 dimes since Pinny shut down, that is when I put money in there, so funding options were different then than now. I have had one instance where I didn't like how they graded a wager. They graded it a no action, so I didn't lose the money, but I felt I won the wager. Looking over the rules some stuff they were telling me in live help was not very concise in the written section of the site, so I let it go. I suppose a case would have been made for both sides. Had it been a significant wager, I would have pushed harder for the win.

I am not crazy about their site setup, but I do like their overnight reduced stuff. THe limits on those are well within my range of wagers, so I am able to pounce early if there is something I like. Just my 2 cents.

CB - 5Dimes also accept www.moneygram.com (it's like western union) and I believe that 5Dimes will cover the fees if it's over "x" amount of dollars. If you'd like I can contact them to get more information about that deposit method. I know a few members have used it already and it works pretty easy. Bookmaker also is using moneygram...

    opened fine in IE
    thanks

about 5dimes, never had a problem with them. checks arrive for me within 9-12 days and minimum withdrawl is either $50 or $100 which is convenient for me since i'm smalltime (~$50/wager). i used to use netteller but since they shut down and i couldnt get moneybookers to work i use ewalletexpress instead which is exactly like netteller instacash.

Thanks for the info outstanding. Any insight you can provide into ewallet would be helpful as I am not familiar with all the new deposit methods out there, and would prefer to hear first hand accounts rather than just re-reading everything at their site.

Fondy - Thanks for the heads up. I have never made a regular moneygram deposit before, so not familiar with it, but have heard anecdotals around the manual version. Will check out the online site later today to see what's up as I would prefer the convenience of depositing online instead of having to physically go somewhere and fill out a bunch of paperwork and stuff. Just trying to proactively figure out my options before the season starts so I am not scrambling around at the last minute trying to figure all this stuff out.

    Thanks guys!

As a (formerly) degenerate horse player (now I'm just a small player, lol) I find their horse racing setup superior to at least four other offshore casinos I have used. It is quick and easy to navigate. I just recently joined and am waiting on King Football.

I posted the following two things in carolinablue's thread about his funding chronicles so I figured I'd post here as well since they were both about 5dimes...

First a question: So I've never done Moneygram or Western Union and may have to for this go-round to deposit into 5dimes. Do I hand the clerk cash or can I write a check? Just curious, cuz thats a lot of cash in hand.

Second regarding their new Echeck: Regarding the Echeck, I was gonna do that this morning but its a $300 max and you can't deposit again until the 1st one clears which they said could take 10 days. 5 for the money to show up in your account and another 5 for it to clear. Even if you certify your account it doesn't make a difference they told me despite what it says online about higher limits. My max will still be only 300 and maybe after that clears I can have higher limits. Essentially they said there is no advantage to certifying your account yet cuz its a new system. Maybe its cuz I've never deposited into 5dimes before and they're just feeding me BS until I show I'm a reputable customer. They recommended MoneyGram to me.

Also, since 5dimes covers the transfer fee for moneygram, does this mean I pay for it on my end and they credit it to my account as extra? Or do I just tell the clerk that the transfer fee will be covered by the receiver?

Not sure on the limits - but with moneygram you have to pay the fee up front and then the book will credit it into your account later. Just make sure you email them and make sure that they know you're depositing that way with your account number and you want your fee covered.

If you guys have Matchbook or WSEX, you can have your money transferred over to 5dimes. So I guess you can deposit via CC or debit on matchbook then immediately xfer it to 5 dimes.

For USA people it's either Western Union is minimum $100. If you deposit by ewallet than there is an $18 deposit minimum. There are no minimums for checks and there is a $100 minimum for gift card payout.

Jimmy, I don't know for sure, but Netspend isn't listed as a funding method on their site.

Anyone have any details about the gift card payouts? Anybody use these in America? Any issues? Thanks.

I used their gift card payout a couple of times.

The first time I had to wait an extra 2 weeks or so to get my card. The manager called me and told me it would be a little bit longer since they were trying to coordinate with the money processor or something. I got the card and it worked fine. Went to the ATM and took out my money no problem. The only catch is... there is a fee associated with everything you do (all the way down to calling the number to check your balance). So if you plan on using it as a debit card you might as well just withdrawal everything at once and use cash instead.

The second time I requested one, they sent me a check instead. I was a little disappointed because I liked the gift card idea, but I really didn't mind and I didn't bring it up to 5dimes that they screwed up.

Also they claim to only be able to make the gift card payouts for $950 or something, but thats not entirely true. My first time I withdrew for almost double that amount and it worked fine (that might have been why it took so long, i don't know though). The second time, the CSR wouldn't let me do it for over $950, even though I explained that the first card was for way over $950. I tried to argue my point but they wouldn't have it (maybe that is why I received a check instead).

Anyways, all in all its a viable way to get your money if you want to keep it out of your bank accounts and you withdrawal for relatively small stakes. Other than that I see no reason to use that method and as you can see I've had mixed experiences with it.

    GL, hope this helps.

5dimes reduced juice lines, especially for pucks and bases are the closest you will get, to matchbook lines. Love that shit.

Excellent site. Best customer service. Hot off the press early opening lines like at BM. Solid.
