Life long Rangers fan here, we are off to a shaky start. Due to Sam Dyson last night he messed up his third game of the season. I foresee a change during this road trip. Beltre had a major setback with his calf we won't see him until June (that's being optimistic) To see entire stats slide to the right.

On a positive note Cole Hamels has been good as has Martin Perez. Yu has shown some good stuff so far.
The glaring stat is Dyson 33.00 ERA with a WHIP of 4.67

Joey Gallo the 23-year-old Texas Rangers infielder/outfielder is subbing for injured third baseman Adrian Beltre, and he is likely to remain in that spot for the immediate future after Beltre recently experienced a setback in his recovery.
Gallo, who is hitting .174, probably will be in the lineup again Wednesday when the Rangers continue their series against the Los Angeles Angels. He went 0-for-3 with a walk Tuesday as the Rangers lost 6-5 to the Angels in 10 innings.
There is no active player in the major leagues with more home runs against the Angels than Beltre. He has hit 40 of his 445 homers against Los Angeles, so one might imagine the relief the Angels feel knowing he is doubtful for the three-game series.
The 38-year-old veteran began the season on the disabled list with a strained right calf, but he was hoping to be activated by Sunday. Instead, while testing the calf on Saturday, he felt pain in a different part of the same calf.
An MRI confirmed the strain, but there is no timetable for his return. Though anything more serious appears to have been ruled out, Beltre is growing more frustrated.
The Rangers will attempt to figure out Angels right-hander Jesse Chavez (1-0, 1.59 ERA) on Wednesday in the middle game of the series. Chavez is 2-3 with a 5.50 ERA in 16 career games against Texas.
Right-hander A.J. Griffin (0-0, 10.80 ERA) will start for the Rangers against an Angels lineup that is off to a hot start. Los Angeles' regular batting order has five players -- Yunel Escobar, C.J. Cron, Andrelton Simmons, Jefry Marte and Mike Trout -- hitting .300 or better
Griffin is 3-2 with a 4.23 ERA in eight starts against the Angels. He also has done fairly well against Trout and Albert Pujols: Trout is hitting .263 (5-for-19) with two homers; Pujols is batting .143 (2-for-14) with one homer.

The long road trip started off poorly, cruising along with a five run lead then Dyson implodes, tonight's game hopefully we will see an improved bullpen. The natives are restless early in Arlington

feel like Cole has been struggling but surviving, Bannister doing this with his closer for a second year in a row is depressing especially since it's bitten me twice this year

Also feel like Daniels didn't do enough with this team to keep them competitive in the division, but Jeffress-Bush going forward is something i am happy to put my money behind while Dyson pitches the 6th in blowouts

A serviceable start from Griffin 6 IP 3 earned runs 4-K's bullpen actually pitched 3 innings without giving up a run.
    Gomez,Napoli,Andrus hit HR's
Napoli had two hits and is looking a bit better at the plate, Joey Gallo knocked in 2.

Today is a big game Yu's on the mound in search of his first win. Also the rubber game of the series.

Yu was excellent 7 innings pitched struck out 10, only gave up 5 hits and walked 2. Carlos Gomez & Nomar Mazara each hit bombs.... We won the series as well

On to Seattle here are the pitching matchups:

Fri: Perez vs Hernandez Perez was much better in his second start, last year he was 2-8 with a 5.78 ERA in 15 starts. Perez was 3-0 last year against Mariners with a 2.63 ERA in four starts. King Felix has struck out 12 and walked none in his first two starts. He has given up 3 bombs in only 11 innings.

Sat: Cashner vs Paxton Cashner's first start of the season. Paxton has been fantastic 13 scoreless innings pitched with 13-K's

Sun: Hamels vs Iwakuma Cole has been the victim of our bullpen imploding, he's looking for his first win but has left both his starts leading.

Rangers lost a tough one last night 2-1
King Felix was very good as was Martin Perez, we could only manage seven hits all game.

The Rangers will be getting their first look at Texas native Cashner, In his most recent outing, he threw 76 pitches Monday in an extended spring training game against San Diego minor leaguers. Rangers manager Jeff Banister told the Dallas Morning News he expects Cashner to be able to go 95-100 pitches.

Cashner looked pretty good off the layoff, once again our bats go silent. Scored only one run in two games. Last night only two hits. Today's a must win game don't want to get swept. A's up next

It's become groundhogs day for the Rangers, have the lead Dyson comes in and implodes. Well he's now out as the closer.
Jefferries will be the "stopper" as a tonight versus the A's.

We currently are 4-8 losers of three straight, they should rebound with a series win over the A's

was very high on bannister as i think he made great decisions last year and the year before, but he's incapable of reading the writing on the wall. Tolleson clearly needed to be replaced last season and it took him far too long, good thing the rest of the division underperformed, but it doesn't appear that's happening this year and Dyson's already cost the team three wins and likely four if you count the tie game he entered. Jeffress should have been the guy a week ago, or he should have at least been warming when Dyson enters the game just in case and Bannister refused to do that

A.J Griffin pitched a gem 6 innings only giving up 1 hit while striking out 8 A's.
Carlos Gomez and Mike Napoli each had 2 run doubles.

Dyson was placed on the 10 day DL for a blister

Yu pitched five very good innings, the sixth did him in. He's now lost four of his last six starts in Oakland. On the other side A's pitcher Triggs has now pitched 17 2/3 scoreless innings this season.
We try again today with Martin Perez on the bump in a mid afternoon game.

Yesterday's game was just an old fashioned ass whupping....Perez was awful as was the rest of the team...
We stand at 5-10 our starters need to improve, the leaky bullpen as well.
The Royals come to Arlington tonight, let's see if some home cooking changes this team, if not I foresee some changes before season gets out of hand.

It took 13 innings to get the W and the only run of the game. 1-0
Our offense has been awful last few games, bullpen appears to be improving...Can we win two games in a row? Tonight we will see.

    We stand at 6-10

Power was the name of the game last night Joey Gallo hit 2 bombs as did Robinson Chirinos they powered a 6-2 win.
Cole Hamels pitched 8 innings giving up only 3 hits and 1 earned run. Our first 2 game winning streak of the season.
    We now stand at 7-10

Rangers with a four game sweep of the Royals, we now stand at 9-10
Our starters were just about unhittable as was our bullpen. Funny once Dyson vanished the team improved.
One series doesn't make the year, but it sure helped

Heres some crazy stats, last three times Chirinos caught Yu

    3-0

    10 Hits

This game can be summed up easily, we were 2-9 with runners in scoring position. Martin Perez walked three in a inning and had his typical one bad inning. The four game winning streak is over.

Last nights game was just butt ugly, Cashner walked six, gave up 2 solo home runs. Anthony Bass wasn't any better giving up six runs, four were earned. Joey Gallo hit a HR.
We are now on a 2 game losing streak. Our record stands at 9-12

Ryan Rua hit his first career grand slam, Sin Soo Choo hits a three run bomb and we go on to rout the Twins 14-3.
Cole was just ok he pitched 6.2 innings he gave up 3 runs on 7 hits but struck out only one batter.
We now stand at 10-12 with an off day today, the Angels come to town this weekend

Three bombs were the difference last night Escobar,Trout and Albert's game winning 3 run one was why we've now lost 3-4. Martin Perez was serviceable and the bullpen once again imploded.
Yu is on the bump tonight, in what is a must win game.

Yu threw 125 pitches struck out 10 as Carlos Gomez hit for the cycle giving the Rangers a 6-3 victory. Odor hit a H.r as well.

Martin Perez allowed 4 runs over 5 2/3 innings, he's been so inconsistent this year. We dropped the series to the Angels. Went 6-4 on the home stand, just not good enough.
Now off to Houston for four games, I have a feeling this series won't go our way.

The first matchup on Monday night at Minute Maid Park will pit Astros right-hander Lance McCullers (2-1, 4.34 ERA) against Rangers right-hander Andrew Cashner (0-2, 2.93 ERA), a native of Conroe, a city 40 miles north of Houston.
McCullers is 0-3 with an 8.03 ERA in three career starts against Texas. However, he is 11-4 with a 2.08 ERA in 23 career starts at Minute Maid Park.
Cashner is 2-2 with a 3.97 ERA against Houston over 10 career games (two starts). He did not face the Astros last season while pitching for the Miami Marlins and San Diego Padres.

We were rolling right along until the 7th inning, then we imploded yet again...Astros scored 5 runs and they go on to defeat us 6-2
Only exciting thing was the benches cleared when McCullers threw behind Napoli. Rangers need to get things going very soon. I'm not sure if they can...

The same old story once again, had the lead bullpen implodes..... Something has to give soon.... Our team BA is putrid, our bullpen is the worst....
This team doesn't look like a winner, so sad to say....

Martinez is 3-1 with a 2.33 ERA in seven career games (four starts) vs. Houston.
Right-hander Charlie Morton (2-2, 4.50 ERA) gets the start for the Astros. Morton allowed three runs over five innings in his lone career start against the Rangers. Morton worked a season-high seven innings in his previous start against the Oakland A's on Friday, recording a career-high 12 strikeouts en route to the win.
The Astros recorded their 12th comeback victory on Tuesday night, rallying for a third time from a five-run deficit to outlast Texas 8-7. Houston has shown an uncanny ability to string together quality plate appearances up and down the lineup, particularly in late-game situations when under duress.
When the club added veterans Nori Aoki, Brian McCann, Josh Reddick and Carlos Beltran in the offseason, the intent was to blend their experience with the youthful core already in place. The early results have been promising, with Houston displaying an unflinching belief in its collective ability to rally time and again.

Martinez got lit up, Astros hit 4 bombs and waltzed to a victory. We lost Cole Hamels for minimum 8 weeks with a strained oblique.
Our team is in a downward spiral lost 4 in a row we stand at 11-17

We need a big time start from AJ today

We avoided the sweep yesterday, AJ Griffin pitched well enough to get the W... We scored 4 in the first and cruised to our win... Now off to Seattle.....

Darvish seeks his first career win at Safeco and the Rangers look to end a five-game road losing streak to the Seattle Mariners on Friday night when the AL West teams open a three-game series.
Darvish is 5-3 with a 4.45 ERA in 10 starts against the Mariners. All of the wins have occurred at home and he is 0-3 with a 7.71 ERA in three starts at Seattle.
There is one caveat to Darvish's history in Seattle. Due to injuries and scheduling, Darvish has not pitched in Seattle since a 3-1 loss on April 12, 2013.
It is so long ago that the only Mariner still on the team from Darvish's last start in Seattle is Kyle Seager, who is 9-for-31 off the right-hander.
Overall, things are going decently for Darvish (3-2, 3.06 ERA) and the Rangers are hoping he can be their top pitcher in the wake of Cole Hamels' being out for eight weeks with a strained oblique.
His 41 strikeouts are tied for fifth in the American League with Cleveland's Corey Kluber and opponents are hitting .180 off him. Darvish will be pitching on five days' rest for the second straight outing after throwing 125 pitches and allowing two runs and three hits in six innings during a 6-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday.
The Rangers are making their second trip of the season to Seattle. Texas scored twice in the first two games and blew a five-run lead in an 8-7 loss on April 16 decided on Nelson Cruz's single in the ninth inning.
The five-game skid began with Seattle's 8-3 win on Sept. 7. It also is part of a 9-14 record Texas has compiled in Seattle since the start of 2015, though the Rangers have been outscored by just 10 runs in those games.
Besides trying to reverse some negative trends in Seattle, the Rangers will be going for only their fifth road win. Texas ended a five-game road losing streak Thursday with a 10-4 win in Houston when Joey Gallo hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning and drove in three runs.
Gallo's home run gave the Rangers 12 in their last five games and 43 overall, one behind the New York Yankees for the league lead. The difference is Texas takes a .223 average into its second series in Seattle

We had that one bad inning again and our bats went quiet.... Gallo hit his AL leading 10th HR tying him with Khris Davis

Cashner on the bump today to try and salvage the series win

This team needs to play with a sense of urgency.....Our starters other than Yu haven't been good. Bullpen in shambles...
We strikeout way to much... 4 games this week with Padres we need to win 3 out of 4
Our team batting average is .219 ranked 28th

This stat currently belongs to Mr. Aaron Judge.

Have some texans across 2 fantasy leagues, and the only thing working is Andrus. Hopefully Beltre comes back healthy, and in a timely manner
