Capping the Game 2008 Daytona 500 Contest

Daytona 500 Contest Home | Rules | Picks

1) To sign up for the Daytona 500 Contest, you must first register in our sports gambling discussion forum by clicking this link. If you have already signed up to our forum, please feel free to go ahead and make your picks logging into the forum and clicking the link that takes you to the picks page.

2) Each person may only make one entry into the contest. CTG has the right to cancel selections of those who violate this rule. Aliases are strictly prohibited and will result in permanent banishment from Capping the Game.

3) All picks must be placed prior to the start of the Daytona 500, which is on 2/17 at 3:20 PM EST.

4) Once your picks are made, you will not be able to change them. No exceptions.

5) You are picking 5 drivers, in the order in which you think they will finish. Points are accrued by adding the finishing position of each of your drivers and the winner will have the least amount of points. For example, if you select Tony Stewart as Driver 1 and he finishes 10th, you receive 10 points. If Driver 2 is Jimmie Johnson and he finishes 15th, then you receive 15 points for Johnson, plus the 10 for Stewart... all the way down to Driver 5. The object of this contest is to select 5 drivers that will give you the least amount of points, based on their finishing position in the Daytona 500.

6) In the event of a tiebreaker, the winner will be determined by taking the better finishing Driver 1 of the tied, on down to Driver 5 (if necessary).

7) If you choose a driver that fails to make the Daytona 500, that driver will be rewarded 44 points, as only 43 spots are available for the race.

8) Preliminary results will be posted when the race ends, but actual results will be based on nascar.com Official Results posted on Monday (2/18).

9) Prize amount for the winner of the CTG Daytona 500 contest will be $50.
